Lake Ridge RanchLake Ridge Ranch is situated on the banks of the mighty Lake Diefenbaker, which is approximately 100 miles long and up to 180 feet deep. The lake is fed by the South Saskatchewan and Red Deer River Systems which draws from a huge watershed area all the way from Waterton Park to Red Deer, Alberta. Most of the water comes from snowpacks high in the Rocky Mountains. The heart of the ranch is its 5 center pivots all in one block. The pivots produce corn, ryegrass and alfalfa for the cow herd. The land is highly productive also producing potatoes, dry beans, canola along with most of the other crops grown in Western Canada. The ranch covers an area of approximately 1200 acres with over half of them being irrigated and is currently supporting 400 head of mother cows along with 250 acres of dry beans for sale as a cash crop in 2006. In 2007 the land would be ready to grow potatoes as a cash crop. * See more about our Irrigation System. ![]() |
