Irrigation

The irrigation system consists of 5 modern center pivots connected to the Riverhurst Irrigation District Distribution System which supplies water to 10,000 acres in the area.

A centrally located pumphouse at Riverhurst pumps the water to local farms and ranches. The entire system is pressurized, delivering a water pressure of 50 psi right to the pivot point. With the flick of a switch you have water being applied to thousands of acres at once.

The power supply comes from Gardiner Dam Hydro Project which is also situated on Lake Diefenbaker.
